The ATT is open from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of every month. Train services are a steam-hauled train on the second Sunday and a diesel-hauled service on the fourth Sunday of every month. Diesel locomotives replace steam on days of Total Fire Ban.

The ATT apologises for any inconvenience

The Alexandra Market also operates at the ATT on the second Saturday of each month from September to May with one of our smaller locomotives operating a service.

We also operate steam-hauled trains on all public holidays except New Years Day, Anzac Day, Good Friday, Cup Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Over Easter we operate on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday with additional machinery displays working.

Tour groups can visit the ATT anytime by prior arrangement – click on the Tour Groups page for details. The ATT site is available for hire for private functions such as Christmas parties, weddings or social club functions. Schools, educational and other group visits can also be arranged. There are comprehensive barbeque facilities and a picnic area that can also be reserved for groups.

Outside of these operational days, members of the public are free to wander our grounds where you will find a wide range of machinery and other static exhibits to view during daylight hours seven days a week.
