Alexandra Market

The Alexandra Market is run under the umbrella of the Alexandra Timber Tramway and Museum Inc. in the Society’s grounds in Station Street Alexandra.

  • Market season runs on the Saturday preceding the second Sunday of each month, September through to April.
  • Cost per stall is $15.00
  • Trestle tables are available for $5.00. This is a donation to the Alexandra Lions Club.
  • Market times are 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.
  • Grounds will be open at 7.00 am to set up.

Advertising through the local newspaper (Alexandra & Eildon Standard) and local radio UGFM 106.9 (www.ugfm.org) will be free to all stallholders.

  • For community groups, the sale of food items at the market requires local council approval.  For further information contact your local council's Environmental Health Department and request "Food Safety Program for Charities and Community Organisations" - Shelf-stable foods (cakes, biscuits, jams or chutneys) or Sausage Sizzles or Barbecues.
  • This approval letter must be brought to the market as inspectors can visit anytime.
  • The market also has a "Safety at the Alexandra Community Market: Guide to Stallholders" manual.  A copy can be obtained on market days.
  • As an added attraction the Timber Tramway runs a train on market days.
